This weekend we will say goodbye to summer and celebrate the achievement of American workers through the observance of Labor Day. Naperville’s annual celebration, The Last Fling, is always a highlight of my summer calendar. I would like to take a moment and thank all the volunteers and sponsors who contribute to the Naperville Jaycees over the entire year to help put this festival on.
For September's Luncheon, we will welcome DuPage County Board Chairman, Bob Schillerstrom for our annual State of the County address. The luncheon will be held on Monday, September 27 at the Holiday Inn Select at 11:30 a.m.

Illinois is nearly bankrupt. For years, the state has spent beyond its means and ignored its unpaid bills and obligations. For FY2011, Illinois faces a projected budget deficit of $14-15 Billion and total debt of around $160 Billion. On Monday, August 23, the Chamber welcomed Miles White and Eden Martin of the Civic Committee of the Commercial Club of Chicago to discuss the Illinois Is Broke Coalition. To learn more about what you can do to get involved, please take advantage of the Chamber's resources throughout our website.
