Exciting Opportunities: Serve on Naperville’s Boards and Commissions

At the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce (NACC), we’re dedicated to being Your Advocate, and we believe supporting local business goes hand-in-hand with fostering community involvement.  In addition to Not-For-Profit Boards, the City of Naperville has Boards and Commissions that are open to residents as well.

The volunteers who serve on city boards and commissions exemplify outstanding community involvement. Appointments are reserved for residents and made by the Mayor, with approval from the City Council, based on experience and interest.

Why Get Involved?

  • Influence Policy: By serving on a board or commission, you can directly impact the policies that shape our city. Your voice can help guide important decisions that affect the entire community.
  • Support Community Initiatives: Be part of projects and programs that enhance the quality of life in Naperville. From environmental sustainability to cultural affairs, your contributions can drive positive change.
  • Gain Valuable Experience: Serving on a board or commission provides you with the chance to develop new skills and gain insights into local government operations. It’s also an excellent addition to your resume.
  • Network with Community Leaders: Connect with other dedicated residents, local officials, and leaders. Build relationships that can lead to new opportunities and collaborative efforts.
