This just in…
Governor Pritzker has issued a stay-at-home order for the State of Illinois starting at 5:00 p.m. (CST) tomorrow, Saturday, March 21st thru Tuesday, April 7th. You may review the Governor’s Executive Order here for a comprehensive list of essential businesses that are allowed to remain open.
It’s 5 O’clock Somewhere
The Illinois Liquor Control Commission issued an order (read here) which allows on-premise liquor license holders (restaurants) to sell liquor for off-premise consumption if they receive approval from the local liquor commissioner. This allows restaurants to sell liquor to go, which ensures they don’t lose this revenue stream. Traditionally, an on-premise retailer cannot sell for off-premise consumption because they lack the proper license. This bulletin allows for leeway during this difficult time.

Relief from our Financial Institutions
Members are encouraged to go to their banking institution (essential services approved) to ask about options for payment deferrals or modifications to their current term loans. Many banks are now offering interest-only payment options for term loans. The full press release detailing the FDIC providing further relief to business and individuals with regards to the banking industry can be read here.
Thank you to Chamber Member, Erich R Kroll, VP-Corporate and Institutional Banking for PNC Bank for this update.
SBA Loans
We announced earlier about the SBA Disaster Assistance loans. We learned from a number of our members that when they went to apply, DuPage County was not listed as an eligible County. We received assurance that all of Illinois is eligible. I have been told the process is very streamlined and resources will be made available quickly. IF YOU HAVE ANY ISSUES WITH YOUR APPLICATION, PLEASE CALL US and we can connect you to proper resources. For your convenience, we have included the link to apply: https://www.sba.gov/funding-programs/disaster-assistance
