Help Edward-Elmhurst Health Workers Stay Safe

COVID-19 is placing significant pressure on Edward-Elmhurst Health’s ability to keep stock of personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriate to the role and the risk of front line staff.  They have placed a call for donations of PPE, and if they are not able to use donated items – they will be connecting those goods to organizations that can.

Items Most Needed Include:

  • N95 Masks
  • Procedural/ Surgical Masks
  • Hand Sanitizer
  • Disinfectant Wipes
  • Nitrile Gloves
  • Isolation Gowns
  • Goggles
  • Thermometers

We know many folks are interested in sewing masks for doctors and nurses and Edward-Elmhurst is accepting these masks as an emergency back-up. Their hope is to use commercially made products recommended by the CDC for COVID-19, but there may come a point that these products are no longer available.

This video provides basic guidelines for sewing medical face masks:

 * Please do not leave the home to purchase supplies or break social distancing recommendations to make a mask.
