Act as if what you do makes a difference. It does.
William James
I would like to formally announce the Inaugural NACC Volunteer Week, which will take place during National Volunteer Week April 18 – 24th. I am challenging each of you to volunteer in some way. The NACC is working to make this goal easier to achieve by offering volunteer opportunities with our NACC Not-For-Profit (NFP) Members.
It has been a challenging year for many of us. One sector hit hard by the pandemic is our Not-For-Profits. Our NFPs step in to make a difference in our community and around the world – now we want to lend them a helping hand.
The NACC has more than 100 Not-For-Profit Members, and those NFP Members have listed some ways they could use YOUR help during this week. There are virtual and in-person options for giving back – blood drives, food drives, crafts, painting, social media shout-outs, and even more unique opportunities for you to participate. Volunteer together or on your own – either way, we encourage you to find the NFP need that speaks to your heart and sign-up to give back by donating some of your time.
If you’re a business owner, consider making one of these projects a team-building exercise. Some companies (like The NACC) offer Volunteer Time Off or VTO as a part of their benefits. This week is a great way to use some of that VTO if you have it.
Thank you for helping make our inaugural event a success!
Business Forward,
Kaylin
